General Motors do Brasil is in final negotiations to export its locally-made old-generation Corsa to India in CKD assembly kit form. Shipments will start at the beginning of 2002, writes Rogério Louro Alves.
GM has not announced the number of cars it will send to India or the exact value of the deal.
“The agreement is worth more than $US200 million”, said General Motors do Brasil vice-president José Carlos Pinheiro Neto.
GM Brazil already exports the Corsa to China, South Africa and Venezuela.
