Wabco Holdings says it has been awarded a new long-term agreement by an unnamed manufacturer of commercial vehicles headquartered in Europe for brake actuator technologies on a new truck platform that will enter markets in south-east Asia.
Series production is expected to begin in 2016 at the customer’s plant in Thailand.

“This new long-term contract demonstrates how we have further leveraged the global power of Wabco through engineering and design capabilities in India combined with newly established world-class manufacturing capacity located in Thailand,” said Wabco president, Truck, Bus & Car Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) Division, Leon Liu.
“What differentiates WABCO is the power of our globalisation and, as anticipated, we are helping a major European commercial vehicle maker to further expand its success in south-east Asia.”
