is to launch the redesigned European Transit range in Australia later this month.

Down Under buyers will have a choice of two engines – a new turbo diesel that
produces 19% more power and 9% more torque than the previous model or a revised
2.3 litre petrol engine that is 24% more powerful and has 17% more torque than
its predecessor.

The range is being offered in 4 wheelbase variants – short, medium, long and
chassis cab – and a medium wheelbase van is new to the range.

By June 2001 17 model/engine/transmission combinations will be on sale.
