Supplier’s customers include Volvo

Shanghai Unison Aluminium Products was investing EUR35m (US$38.1m) in a new plant near Bulgaria’s second largest city of Plovdiv, city authorities told local media.

The plant, to be located in Trakia Economic Zone, would manufacture aluminium profiles for the automotive industry, the business development unit at Plovdiv municipality said in a statement cited by SeeNews.com.

Construction was scheduled for completion within a year.

The plant was expected to create between 150 and 200 jobs.

Shanghai Unison Aluminum Products supplies Tesla, Volvo and Fiat.

It has subsidiaries in Mexico and Bulgaria to serve customers overseas, SeeNews.com added.
