IT jobs accounted for an 8.83% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in November 2022, registering an increase of 0.37% over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in November 2022
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Middle East & Africa with a share of 60.71% in November 2022, a 26.09% drop over the previous month. Database and Network Administrators and Architects came in next, claiming a share of 14.29% in November 2022, marking a 63.64% month-on-month decline. In the third place was Miscellaneous Computer Occupations with a share of 10.71% in November 2022, a 66.67% drop from October 2022.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 22.22% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Middle East & Africa’s auto industry during November 2022 over previous month.
General Motors posted 12 IT jobs in November 2022 and registered an increase of 140% over the previous month, followed by Motus Holdings with 3 jobs and a 50% growth. Mercedes-Benz Group with 3 IT jobs and Lear with 2 jobs, recorded a 72.73% drop and a flat growth, respectively, while IRP Systems recorded a flat growth with 2 job postings during November 2022.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Middle East & Africa’s auto industry
Israel commanded a leading presence in the region’s auto industry IT hiring activity with a 46.43% share in November 2022, an 116.67% increase over October 2022. South Africa featured next with a 25% share, down 46.15% over the previous month. Morocco recorded a 14.29% share, a drop of 69.23% compared with October 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in November 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 75%, down by 27.59% from October 2022. Entry Level positions with a 17.86% share, registered a decline of 44.44% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 7.14% share, down 71.43% over October 2022.
