Mexico’s auto industry registered a 0.8% rise in IT hiring activity in October 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 9.06% in October 2022 when compared with September 2022.
Out of the auto industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed an 8.02% share in October 2022, recording an increase of 0.32% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in Mexico’s auto industry’s IT recruitment activity in October 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 93.33% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Mexico’s auto industry in October 2022.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 44% in October 2022, registering a 22.22% growth over the previous month.
2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 20% share, an increase of 66.67% over the previous month.
3) Computer and Information Analysts held a share of 10.67%, registering an 11.11% decline from September 2022.
4) Computer and Information Research Scientists captured a share of 9.33%, down 12.5% over the previous month.
Top five auto companies in Mexico’s IT recruitment activity in October 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 222.22% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Mexico’s auto industry during October 2022 over September 2022.
Continental posted 24 IT jobs in October 2022 and registered a rise of 380% over the previous month, followed by AutoZone with 13 jobs and an 85.71% growth. Faurecia with 9 IT jobs and Lear with 8 jobs, recorded a 125% growth and a 700% growth, respectively, while Sensata Technologies Holding recorded an increase of 300% with 4 job postings during October 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in October 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 69.33%, up by 23.81% from September 2022. Entry Level positions with a 22.67% share, registered an increase of 21.43% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with an 8% share, up 200% over September 2022.
