India’s auto industry registered a 4.8% rise in IT hiring activity in June 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring increased by 12.34% in June 2022 when compared with May 2022.
Out of the auto industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 24.88% share in June 2022, recording a decrease of 1.38% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in India’s auto industry’s IT recruitment activity in June 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 97.93% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of India’s auto industry in June 2022.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 48.51% in June 2022, registering a 22.14% decline over the previous month.
2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 27.82% share, an increase of 14.15% over the previous month.
3) Computer and Information Analysts held a share of 15.63%, registering a 23.6% decline from May 2022.
4) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations captured a share of 3.45%, down 51.61% over the previous month.
Top five auto companies in India’s IT recruitment activity in June 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 7.63% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of India’s auto industry during June 2022 over May 2022.
AB Volvo posted 60 IT jobs in June 2022 and registered a rise of 57.89% over the previous month, followed by Mahindra & Mahindra with 51 jobs and a 56.41% drop. ZF Friedrichshafen with 50 IT jobs and Robert Bosch with 37 jobs, recorded a 2.04% growth and a flat growth, respectively, while Mitsubishi Motors recorded a decline of 28.89% with 32 job postings during June 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in June 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 53.33%, down by 16.85% from May 2022. Mid Level positions with a 42.3% share, registered an increase of 5.14% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 4.14% share, down 60% over May 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 0.23%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
