China’s auto industry registered a 10.9% drop in IT hiring activity in November 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 8.82% in November 2022 when compared with October 2022.

Out of the auto industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed an 8.01% share in November 2022, recording a decrease of 0.35% over the last three-month average share.

Top five auto companies in China’s IT recruitment activity in November 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 69.92% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of China’s auto industry during November 2022 over October 2022.

Li Auto posted 21 IT jobs in November 2022 and registered a flat growth over the previous month, followed by ZF Friedrichshafen with 21 jobs and a 40% growth. Aptiv with 13 IT jobs and Punch Powertrain with 10 jobs, recorded a 550% growth and a 71.43% decrease, respectively, while Ningbo Joyson Electronic recorded a decline of 95.36% with 9 job postings during November 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in November 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 72.17%, down by 82.3% from October 2022. Mid Level positions with a 20.87% share, registered a decline of 60.66% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 6.96% share, down 72.41% over October 2022.
