June 2022 has seen an increase of 13.8% in the overall hiring activity when compared with May 2022.
IT jobs accounted for a 14.24% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in June 2022, registering a decrease of 1.3% over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in June 2022
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Asia-Pacific with a share of 56.26% in June 2022, an 18.51% rise over the previous month. Database and Network Administrators and Architects came in next, claiming a share of 26.16% in June 2022, marking an 11.64% month-on-month increase. In the third place was Computer and Information Analysts with a share of 10.61% in June 2022, a 9.48% drop from May 2022.

Top five auto companies in Asia-Pacific’s IT recruitment activity in June 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 150.26% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Asia-Pacific’s auto industry during June 2022 over previous month.
Robert Bosch posted 203 IT jobs in June 2022 and registered a flat growth over the previous month, followed by Continental with 80 jobs and a 53.85% growth. AB Volvo with 66 IT jobs and Mitsubishi Motors with 65 jobs, recorded a 69.23% rise and a 35% drop, respectively, while Dongfeng Motor recorded a flat growth with 64 job postings during June 2022.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Asia-Pacific’s auto industry
India commanded a leading presence in the region’s auto industry IT hiring activity with a 43.94% share in June 2022, a 13% decrease over May 2022. China featured next with a 34.34% share, up 48.47% over the previous month. Vietnam recorded a 4.44% share, a growth of 4300% compared with May 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in June 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 64.14%, up by 9.67% from May 2022. Mid Level positions with a 25.96% share, registered a growth of 11.74% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 9.7% share, up 26.32% over May 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 0.2%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
