IT jobs accounted for a 12.52% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in November 2022, registering an increase of 0.1% over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in November 2022

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Asia-Pacific with a share of 47.25% in November 2022, a 60.38% drop over the previous month. Database and Network Administrators and Architects came in next, claiming a share of 25.4% in November 2022, marking a 37.45% month-on-month decline. In the third place was Computer and Information Analysts with a share of 18.93% in November 2022, a 67.14% rise from October 2022.

Top five auto companies in Asia-Pacific’s IT recruitment activity in November 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 37.5% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Asia-Pacific’s auto industry during November 2022 over previous month.

Mahindra & Mahindra posted 113 IT jobs in November 2022 and registered an increase of 151.11% over the previous month, followed by ZF Friedrichshafen with 64 jobs and a 12.28% growth. Aptiv with 58 IT jobs and Faurecia with 51 jobs, recorded a 100% rise and a 20.31% drop, respectively, while Mercedes-Benz Group recorded a 10.81% decline with 33 job postings during November 2022.

Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Asia-Pacific’s auto industry

India commanded a leading presence in the region’s auto industry IT hiring activity with a 71.52% share in November 2022, a 14.51% decrease over October 2022. China featured next with an 18.61% share, down 79.46% over the previous month. Philippines recorded a 3.72% share, a growth of 43.75% compared with October 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in November 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 51.78%, down by 61.21% from October 2022. Mid Level positions with a 41.1% share, registered a growth of 3.25% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 6.96% share, down 45.57% over October 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 0.16%, recording a month-on-month decline of 85.71%.
