Notably, social responsibility was one of the most frequently referenced themes in Q3 2023, ranking highest in terms of mentions, ahead of digitalization and renewable energy, according to GlobalData.
Of the top leading companies in the automotive industry, Nissan Motor had the greatest increase in references for social responsibility in Q3 2023, compared with the previous quarter. GlobalData identified 232 social responsibility-related sentences in the company's filings - 8% of all sentences - and a decrease of 21% in Q3 2023 compared with Q3 2022. Mahindra & Mahindra’s mentions of social responsibility dropped by 1% to 134 and Eicher Motors’s by 70% to 63 and Bajaj Auto’s by 48% to 51 and Maruti Suzuki India’s by 60% to 49.
