Headquartered in Silicon Valley, California, Plug and Play claims to be the world's largest innovation platform.

It specialises in corporate innovation and the development of early to growth stage technology startups, introducing them to investors and global companies.

This is its first move into the UK.

MIRA Technology Park has extensive R&D facilities and engineering expertise to help startup growth. The new partnership, supported by government bodies such as Zenzic, will enable OEMs and Tier 1s to speed innovation while supporting startups to prove concepts and commercialise innovation.

Mike Olmstead, CRO at Plug and Play, said: "Having already established a successful track record in the US and the rest of Europe, the high quality of startups and academic research emerging from UK universities makes it an attractive market to enter."

MIRA is currently home to 40 mobility sector companies employing 1,200 people.
