The interior systems specialist will unveil two new seating concepts, including FastForward seating – a versatile system – and the Genus seat – featuring alternative seating materials. The innovative new CrafTec multi-colour injection (MCI) process will also be introduced.
Updated electronics products and a new user of the Railport overhead control/compartment vehicle personalisation system will also be announced.
FastForward seating is claimed to be the fastest people-to-cargo seating system in the industry; a key fob button folds, in 10 seconds, passenger seats into a true flat load floor. The systems also offers the industry’s first permanent tub storage, which allows best-in-class cargo room for sport-utility vehicles, crossovers and minivans.
New CrafTec processes combine multiple materials and colours in a single-piece construction and include an injection moulding process that provides a two-colour substrate for door panels, instrument panels and other interior applications with one part; a single step, advanced injection-moulding process that integrates cover materials; and a process in which plush softness is applied using the main substrate instead of separate, layered pieces.
