Hino Motors has chosen Allison Transmission Japan 3000 and 4000 Series automatic transmissions for 700 Series FS, FY and FH and FR truck models sold in Australia.
A new nine-litre A09C engine has been added to the Hino range and models with that engine are now offered with the six-speed fully automatic transmission. All models for Australia are Euro VI-compliant and air suspension is also available with some models.

The supplier said positive feedback from Australian customers on the role the transmission plays in improving productivity has resulted in increased sales in the country.
The four Hino models with automatic transmissions are expected to be used in a wide range of industries and applications, including delivery trucks, garbage trucks, mixer trucks and trailers.
