Vietnamese battery electric vehicle (BEV) manufacturer VinFast Auto announced that it delivered 196,919 vehicles globally in 2005, a 102% jump compared with 97,399 units in 2024. The company also revealed that it delivered a further 406,498 e-scooters and e-bikes globally last year, representing a 473% increase over 2024.

The automaker previously reported that its local sales in Vietnam almost doubled to 175,099 units in 2025, accounting for roughly one-third of total vehicle sales in the country, with the total market estimated to have exceeded 550,000 units - making it one of the fastest-growing BEV markets worldwide.

The latest data suggests that VinFast sold a total of 21,820 vehicles overseas in 2025, having recently established local production operations in India and Indonesia, while continuing to expand sales operations in other Asian markets, in Europe, and in the US.

Indonesia was its largest overseas market last year with 10,890 deliveries, according to local industry data, comprising mostly imports before the company completed its local assembly plant in December 2025. VinFast’s vehicle assembly plant in India began operations last August.

VinFast strengthened its model line-up last year with the addition of the Limo Green battery-powered MPV in August, which immediately became the company’s best-selling model in Vietnam. Over the full year, the compact VF3 remained VinFast’s best-selling model in Vietnam with 44,585 deliveries, followed by the VF5 with 43,913 units, the Limo Green with 27,127 units, the VF6 with 23,291 units, the Herio Green with 12,568 units, and the VF7 with 9,653 units.
