Toyota adds drivetrain parts in Texas

Plant builds Tundra trucks and Sequoia SUVs

Toyota Texas is spending US$531m to create 400 new jobs in San Antonio at a 500,000 square foot facility dedicated to drivetrain parts production.

The plant builds Tundra trucks and Sequoia SUVs and assembled 181,000 vehicles in 2023. Total investment in the plant is now $4.7bn.

The investment increases the plant’s flexibility with advanced manufacturing technology, the automaker said.
