Tesla deliveries beat analysts’ estimate

Had been expected to deliver 438,019 vehicles

Tesla produced 410,831 vehicles in the second quarter and delivered 443,956.

The company had been expected to deliver 438,019 vehicles for the April to June period, according to an average estimate based on forecasts from 12 analysts polled by LSEG, seven of whom slashed their expectations in the past three months.

Tesla built 386,576 Model 3 and Y and delivered 422,405. Other models accounted for 24,255 and 21,551 respectively.

The company also said: "We deployed 9.4 GWh of energy storage products in Q2, the highest quarterly deployment yet."

Bloomberg noted Tesla had improved on a sequential basis from the 386,810 vehicles delivered in the first quarter.

Production was down 14%.
