Suzuki Motor Corporation announced that its majority-owned subsidiary in Pakistan, Pak Suzuki Motor Company, has launched local sales of its Fronx model, as the Japanese automaker continued the global rollout of the compact SUV.

Pak Suzuki began assembling the Fronx, which it describes as an easy-to-handle coupe-style SUV driven by a mild hybrid-electric powertrain, at its plant on the outskirts of the port city of Karachi. It is produced alongside models such as the Alto small car, Cultus (Celerio) and Swift.

The Pakistani vehicle market surged by 39% to 58,038 units in the first quarter of 2026, according to local industry data, up from 41,769 units in the same period last year. Pak Suzuki accounted for 14,500 of these sales, giving it a 25% market share in this period.

Suzuki pointed out that the Fronx is now available in more than 70 countries and regions worldwide, with Pakistan becoming the third production base for the model in Asia after India and Indonesia.
