New compact van developed to be cheaper with more interior configuration flexibility and functionality.

David Leggett September 14 2026

The Stellantis light commercial vehicle arm – Stellantis Pro One – has shown its new C-segment compact van at the IAA show in Hannover.

It will be marketed through all Pro One brands with different nameplates:

  • by Citoroen  as Berlingo Van First;
  • by Fiat as Doblò EasyPro;
  • by Opel as Combo Start;
  • and by Peugeot as Partner Active.

Stellantis says the new C-segment smart compact van was developed from real-world customer insights to deliver ‘more functionality, more value and no compromise on capability’.

Features include:

  • Flexiseat, a modular folding passenger seat that increases cargo volume by 0,5 m³;
  • Modutable, an optional solution that pairs with the Flexiseat to create an ideal office on board;
  • Moduwork, that allows three different combinations for the passenger area: two seats, one seat and a sliding table, or one seat and room for objects up to 3.4 metres, with a storage compartment under the central seat;
  • Drive Drawer, to create extra space under the driver's seat;
  • Dashbox, to add the convenience of a closed dashboard compartment for storing smartphones, sunglasses or work gloves in an easily accessible and protected area;
  • Moduconsole, to further increase capacity with additional storage space and a cupholder integrated into a removable central unit.

These solutions combine versatility, modularity and efficiency to enhance on-board functionality and support professional use.

The van will be equipped with a choice of powertrain options: a new BEV engine with up to 270 km range, three internal combustion engines (two diesel and one petrol), and a new mild-hybrid system available from next year.

The Opel Combo Start version will be available as a diesel from €23,200 (€1,000 cheaper than the previous model).

Start comes with interior configuration innovations

Among other Stellantis exhibits at the IAA was an autonomous van concept called ‘BOW’.

Stellantis said it is a box on wheels (to form the name) aimed at the future of professional mobility and the evolving needs of logistics operators. BOW. is an autonomous, fully electric logistics concept vehicle designed to explore new approaches to urban operations. BOW. ‘represents a forward-looking platform combining autonomous logistics, electrification, connectivity and services within a single integrated ecosystem’.

Developed in collaboration with UQI Robotics, a specialist in artificial intelligence, robotics and autonomous driving technologies, BOW. is described as a concept designed to demonstrate how autonomous solutions could support a more efficient and sustainable logistics model. It is designed for urban environments, including restricted-access and low-emission zones. Stellantis maintains thar BOW. Also opens new possibilities for goods distribution, city logistics and operations within controlled environments such as factories, hospitals and airports.
