Renault has teased its upcoming Latin America-focused pick-up truck, confirming it will be called Niagara ahead of its full debut on 10 September 2026.

The model will be assembled at the French carmaker's Córdoba facility in Argentina and is slated to go on sale across Latin America in late 2026.

It follows the Niagara Concept first shown in 2023.

Renault describes the model as a versatile pick-up combining robust design with advanced technology, suited to everyday and off-road use.

In its statement, the company said: “The name ‘Niagara’ conveys strength, resilience and an ability to withstand the elements. It's an invitation to explore the great outdoors”.

The Niagara forms part of Renault's futuREady strategic plan, launched in March 2026, under which the French manufacturer has committed to introducing 14 new models outside Europe by 2030.

The plan sets out three growth levers: strengthening brand positions in Europe through 12 new products; deploying electrification across the range; and expanding internationally with 14 new model launches.

On electrification, Renault is developing a new RGEV medium 2.0 platform for its next generation of electric vehicles, featuring 800V architecture and targeting ultra-fast charging of as little as 10 minutes by 2030.

The futuREady plan also includes the Bridger Concept, a forerunner to a B-segment SUV to be built in India for the Indian market and other regions.

The Niagara follows recent Latin American launches including the Renault Boreal and Renault Kardian, as the group continues to prioritise the region as a key strategic market.

Renault Brand LCV business unit vice-president Jan Ptacek said: “We are excited to be unveiling Renault Niagara in Argentina next September.

"This new pick-up consolidates our Renault range in Latin American countries. Versatile, spacious and comfortable with strong styling, this pick-up will meet the needs of all our customers.”
