Polestar adopts NA Tesla Supercharger network

New vehicles will be equipped with the NACS charging port from 2025 with adapters for existing vehicles expected in 2024

Luke Martin June 29 2023

Polestar has announced an agreement with Tesla to adopt the new North American Charging Standard (NACS).

This will enable Polestar owners access to Tesla’s 12,000 Superchargers in the US and Canada.

Polestar becomes the latest automaker to adopt the charging network.

Since Ford’s announcement at the end of May 2023, Volvo, Rivian and GM have also signed agreements gaining access to the network.

To ensure seamless integration with current CCS public fast charging infrastructure, new vehicles equipped with NACS will come with a CCS adapter. New vehicles sold in North America will be equipped with the NACS charging port from 2025 with adapters for existing vehicles expected in 2024.
