Stellantis-controlled Leapmotor has announced the opening of orders for the new B03X in Europe, described as a global strategic model that ‘marks a new chapter for the brand in the fast-growing compact segment’.

Order books for the B03X open from early July at Stellantis European dealerships, marking the start of its commercial rollout.

In October 2023, Stellantis became the single largest shareholder of Leapmotor by acquiring an approximately 21% stake. At the same time, Leapmotor International was launched as a 51% Stellantis / 49% Leapmotor joint venture with exclusive rights for the sale and manufacturing of Leapmotor products outside Greater China.

In line with the brand’s commitment to accessibility, the B03X is available with a starting list price of €24,900.

Leapmotor says technology is at the core of the B03X. The model integrates Leapmotor’s latest digital ecosystem, including Leap OS 4.0, ‘enabling seamless connectivity, smartphone integration and remote vehicle control’.

The B03X is powered by an advanced electric drivetrain. At the core of its performance lies a next-generation CTC2.0 Plus (Cell-to-Chassis) short-cell battery system, enabling ‘both optimised packaging and enhanced energy efficiency’.

The model is offered with two LFP ultra high-density battery options: a 39.8 kWh battery delivering up to 292 km (WLTP) and a 53.0 kWh battery delivering up to 382 km (WLTP), providing flexibility to meet different customer needs and usage patterns.

Both batteries are engineered with 2.5C fast-charging capability, allowing claimed DC fast charging from 30% to 80% in approximately 16 minutes.

The B03X is built on a dedicated electric vehicle architecture. A single front-mounted motor produces 197 hp (145 kW) and 200 Nm of torque.

Leapmotor says the models comes with a top speed of 160 km/h and 0–100 km/h acceleration in 8.6 seconds.
