Kia has launched its first platform beyond vehicle (PBV) experience centre in Pyeongtaek, South Korea.
The facility is designed as a dedicated venue where business clients and general visitors can view the full PBV range, arranged by purpose, trim and colour.
This follows the completion of Kia’s Hwaseong EVO Plant East, which is focused on PBV production.
The Pyeongtaek centre displays current PBV models and supports a range of activities, including test drives on model-specific routes, augmented reality (AR) simulations and guided visits to nearby Kia facilities.
Tours cover both the Hwaseong EVO Plant and the Namyang research and development complex.
The site allows visitors to review personalisation options, including PV5 accessories and items from the Kia Shop.
In November, Kia brought together 120 bodybuilders from markets including Korea, Europe, Japan, Africa, the Middle East and Canada for the 2025 Global PBV Conversion Partners Day at the new centre.
The meeting was used to present the venue as a base for joint work on conversion solutions and future commercial vehicle projects with external partners.
Kia intends to broaden the scope of the facility, with plans to add PV5 derivative models that are scheduled to launch in 2026.
Kia PBV Business Division head and executive vice president Sangdae Kim said: "As a venue where the full PBV lineup can be experienced in one place, the new PBV Experience Center offers customers an engaging and immersive experience.
“From winning the IVOTY award with the PV5 to completing the Hwaseong EVO Plant East, Kia is confidently realising its PBV vision. By establishing 'business platforms' such as the PBV Experience Center, we aim to create even more collaborative opportunities with businesses and customers."
Earlier this year, in February, Kia formalised its partnership with Samsung Electronics to enhance the digital ecosystem of its platform beyond vehicles (PBVs) for business customers through the SmartThings Pro platform.
