Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) has partnered with Digital Charging Solutions (DCS) to give plug-in hybrid and electric customers access to over a million European charging points.

The agreement covers Range Rover, Defender, Discovery and Jaguar customers, who will be able to locate and pay for charging through the InControl Remote app or future JLR apps.

The app will allow users to filter available chargers by speed and availability across 29 European countries.

JLR charging and connected services director Mark Camilleri said: “Quality, choice and convenience are critical to the luxury experience we are creating for our electric vehicle clients. Through this new partnership, we are giving clients the power to seamlessly access one of Europe’s most comprehensive charging networks.”

Under the new arrangement, charging costs will be billed monthly rather than charged per individual session.

The charging network draws on DCS's platform, which links to hundreds of electric charging point operators spanning both the UK and continental Europe, covering urban centres as well as rural areas.

Buyers of new or approved used hybrid and electric JLR vehicles will be issued a complimentary branded charging card providing network access.

Customers who already own an eligible vehicle can request a card either through their retailer or via the app.

Beyond locating chargers, the app and the vehicle's onboard navigation system can also route drivers to charging points for everyday use, holidays or trips through rural regions.

The partnership will extend to JLR's forthcoming electric models, starting with the Range Rover Electric, due to launch in 2026.

DCS commercial director Petr Füzék added: “Luxury clients expect quality and reliability in every aspect of vehicle ownership, and public charging is no exception. At DCS, we are proud to support JLR as they expand their public charging service, ensuring a seamless electric journey for clients.”

Last month, JLR said it would make North America, particularly the US, a priority market as it pursues medium-term double-digit revenue growth and broadens propulsion options across key models.

The company said the US would join the UK, Europe and China as a “key” market, with market-specific offerings planned alongside measures to improve supply chain resilience.
