JAC, Brembo collaborate on next-gen braking systems

Focus on improving braking technologies with advanced software solutions.

Chinese state-owned automaker JAC Group announced it has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Italian braking systems manufacturer Brembo Group, to “strengthen their long-term cooperation and jointly promote the innovative development of future automotive platforms.” The signing ceremony was held on 5th February at JAC’s headquarters in Hefei.

JAC hailed the agreement as “a milestone for both parties, laying a solid foundation for broader cooperation based on shared commitments and toward next-generation mobility technologies. Through this collaboration, Brembo and JAC Group will work together to upgrade braking technology and implement advanced software solutions to meet the evolving needs of the Chinese automotive market.”

Xiang Xingchu, chairman of JAC Group Holding Company Ltd, said in a statement: “Brembo is a global leader in braking technology and a trustworthy partner. The two sides have already established a solid foundation for cooperation on the Zunjie S800 project. This strategic signing opens a new chapter of resource complementarity and collaborative innovation. We will work together to bring users a safer and superior driving experience in broader and deeper areas.”

Brembo Group’s CEO, Daniele Schillaci, pointed out that China is “a highly strategic market for Brembo. This partnership is an important step towards becoming a true solutions provider. By combining world-class braking hardware with proprietary software and digital capabilities, we provide customers with integrated, high-value solutions. We are honored to join hands with a leading Chinese manufacturer like JAC Group, relying on innovative technologies to jointly lead the development of the next generation of new energy vehicles.”
