Automotive supplier Inteva Products has acquired specific European operations of International Automotive Components (IAC) Group.
The company said it expects the deal to broaden its global engineering capabilities and reinforce its position in the automotive interiors segment.
As a result of the acquisition, Inteva’s global workforce increases to 12,000 employees, operating across 37 sites worldwide.
The business will continue to run engineering and technical centres in North America, Europe and Asia.
These locations provide customers with design, development, integration, prototyping, testing and validation services.
Gerard Roose, president and CEO of Inteva Products, said: “We’re bringing together two exceptional teams with a shared commitment to innovation, excellence, and customer success.
“Together, we’re stronger, more capable, and better positioned to shape the future of the automotive industry. We couldn’t be more excited about what lies ahead.”
Inteva structures its portfolio around four core product lines: closure systems, interior systems, latches, and motors and electronics. The company supplies engineered systems and components to vehicle manufacturers globally.
Kevin Baird, CEO of IAC Group, said: “Inteva Products is the right partner to build upon this strength. They share our commitment of innovation, customer success and overall excellence.
“This move creates exciting future opportunities for our teams, as well as our customers and other stakeholders.”
IAC Group, based in Luxembourg, is a global supplier of automotive components and systems, including instrument panels, console systems, door panels, headliners and overhead systems for automakers worldwide.
The company employs nearly 7,500 people and is a billion‑dollar manufacturer with 15 sites, including 12 production facilities in Mexico and the US.
