Volkswagen’s subsidiary Škoda Auto recorded a sharp rise in vehicle deliveries in 2025, led by growth in India, where volumes almost doubled year-on-year (YoY).

Deliveries in India rose 96.1% to 70,600 vehicles, the fastest growth among all markets, supported by demand for the locally manufactured Kylaq SUV.

The performance helped lift the company’s global deliveries to 1,043,900 vehicles, representing a 12.7% increase compared with 2024 and its “strongest” result in six years.

Europe remained the manufacturer’s largest region.

In the EU27+4 markets, deliveries reached 836,200 units, up 9.9% YoY, placing the brand “third” among all carmakers in the region for the first time.

Germany continued to be the largest single market with 211,100 vehicles delivered.

This was followed by the Czech Republic with 91,800 units, the UK with 83,300, Poland with 65,200 and France with 50,800.

Denmark and the Netherlands posted particularly strong YoY growth.

Electrified vehicles played a central role in the overall performance.

Battery-electric vehicle deliveries more than doubled to 174,900 units, while plug-in hybrid deliveries reached 43,800.

Combined electrified volumes rose 117.5% YoY to 218,700 vehicles.

In Europe, electric and plug-in hybrid models accounted for 25.7% of total deliveries.

This positioned the company as the “fourth”-largest electric vehicle producer in the region, with a market share of 6.8%.

Germany, Denmark and the Netherlands were the strongest markets for battery-electric models.

Among individual models, the Elroq ranked as the “second” best-selling electric vehicle in Europe, while the Enyaq placed seventh.

Globally, the Octavia remained the “best-selling” model with 190,300 deliveries, despite an 11.8% decline from the previous year.

It was followed by the Kodiaq, Kamiq, Fabia and Karoq. Cumulative sales of the fourth-generation Octavia, launched in 2020, have now exceeded one million units.

During the year, the carmaker expanded its international operations with the start of CKD production of the Slavia and Kushaq in Vietnam, entry into the Saudi Arabian market, and higher deliveries in Türkiye, Morocco and Egypt.

Looking ahead, the company plans to add two all-electric models in 2026: the urban SUV crossover Epiq and the seven-seat family SUV Peaq, doubling its electric vehicle portfolio.
