Hyundai Motor has launched its Stargazer MPV in Malaysia, as the South Korean automaker looks to meet the “changing requirements” of Malaysia’s modern families, including the smart use of interior space.
The six/seven-seater MPV, previewed locally at the Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show in June, is imported as a built-up unit (CBU) from Indonesia. The first shipment of 300 units arrived in Malaysia this month.
The Stargazer is offered in three variants, with the entry-level ‘Style’ priced at MYR 99,800 (US$ 24,460); the ‘Prime’ variant priced at MYR 109,800; and the ‘X’ variant with its SUV-inspired styling and 2+2+2 layout with leatherette seats, including two captain’s chairs in the middle, costing MYR 121,800. The Stargazer comes with an eight-year, or 160,000km, myHyundaiCare warranty.
Hyundai Motor Malaysia also introduced its Resale Value Protection programme, which guarantees a resale value when owners trade in their used vehicles and upgrade to a new model. For a model in its third year with up to 60,000 km on the clock, the guaranteed resale value is 70%. This falls to 60% for a fourth-year model with up to 80,000 km; and to 50% for a vehicle in its fifth year with up to 100,000 km.
