Japanese automotive giant Honda has announced a recall for approximately 205,000 SUVs in the US due to a fuel leak concern.

The recall, reported by the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), is prompted by the potential separation of the fuel filler neck tube and pipe, which could lead to fuel leakage.

 A fuel leak near an ignition source increases the risk of fire.

The recall affects certain 2023-24 Passport and 2023-25 Pilot vehicles.

Dealers will inspect and repair the fuel filler neck and pipe as necessary, free of charge.

Also, this month, General Motors recalled over 132,000 trucks due to potential tailgate unlatching issues.

According to the NHTSA, water intrusion could cause a short circuit in the electronic gate-release switch, potentially causing the tailgate to unlatch while the vehicle is in Park.

The recall affected certain 2024 Chevrolet Silverado HD 2500, 3500, and GMC Sierra HD 2500, 3500 models with power-unlatching tailgates.

Hyundai also initiated a recall of approximately 145,235 electric vehicles (EVs) in the US.

The recall includes the IONIQ 5, IONIQ 6, and Genesis GV60, GV70, and G80 models from 2022-2025.

the NHTSA has identified a defect in the integrated charging control units, which may prevent the 12-volt battery from charging, potentially causing a sudden loss of drive power.

Last month, Tesla recalled 2,400 Cybertruck pickups in the US due to a faulty drive inverter, marking the sixth recall for the model this year.

The defect, affecting Cybertrucks built before July 30, involves the driver inverter, which may fail to generate torque when the accelerator is pressed, potentially causing a loss of propulsion.
