Investment firm Carlyle-backed Highway Roop Precision Technologies has acquired Chamundi Die Cast for an undisclosed sum.
Chamundi is based in the Indian state of Karnataka and produces precision-machined aluminium die-cast parts for automotive and industrial uses.
Ghouse Khan founded the company in 1985. Its operations include tool design and manufacturing, high-pressure and gravity die-casting, precision machining, powder coating and assembly.
Highway Roop makes forged and precision-machined components and assemblies for electric, hybrid and internal-combustion engine vehicles.
The transaction brings integrated aluminium die-casting and precision-machining capabilities into its existing forging and machining platform, the group said.
It added that the deal widens Highway Roop's ability to supply complex, lightweight engineered components for steering, transmission and powertrain applications.
Highway Roop group CEO and director Dharmesh Arora said: “Chamundi meaningfully strengthens Highway Roop’s capabilities around our core focus on torque and control applications.
“Its integrated aluminium die-casting and precision-machining capabilities expand our ability to deliver complex, lightweight engineered solutions across vehicle technologies.”
Chamundi is said to have a growing portfolio of electric vehicle components, along with customer relationships across Europe, North America and India.
Its export-oriented manufacturing base is expected to extend Highway Roop's footprint into South India.
Furthermore, the statement said Chamundi’s site broadens the company’s production footprint, improves supply-chain security and helps it serve clients in Europe and other international markets.Top of FormBottom of Form
