GM Energy Ultium to offer vehicle-to-home charging bundles

Initial retail offerings for bidirectional charging tech and stationary storage

General Motors unit GM Energy has announced the product details and specifications for its initial suite of upcoming ‘Ultium Home’ offerings.

It will be the first solution to be made available to residential customers through GM Energy.

They are designed to provide greater energy independence and enabling the use of backup power for home needs during times when energy is unavailable from the grid.

The product will be offered through bundle options:

  • Ultium Home V2H Bundle
  • Ultium Home Energy System
  • Ultium Home Energy Storage Bundle

Wade Sheffer, vice president, GM Energy said: “As GM Energy’s ecosystem of connected products and services continues to expand, we’re excited to provide customers with options for greater energy management beyond the vehicle.”
