US startup Fisker is in negotiations with five carmakers over a contract to secure additional production capacity, Reuters reported.
Chief executive Henrik Fisker told the news agency: "We have two cars that are almost ready. We can bring them to market fast – we just need the capacity.”
He was in negotiations with five “traditional car companies”.
Fisker has one model on sale, the Ocean SUV, built under contract at Magna Steyr in Graz, Austria.
