A year after its spin-off from Continental AG, Aumovio says it is advancing its vision for the future of mobility through technologies that ‘redefine mobility’. It is also claiming significant business wins in North America.
“We're living through one of the most exciting periods in automotive history,” said Aruna Anand, President and CEO, Aumovio, North America. “Advances in software, sensing, connectivity, and intelligent systems are reshaping mobility faster than ever before. At Aumovio, we're proud to help drive that transformation by turning breakthrough technologies into solutions that improve safety, convenience, and everyday life.”
New business
Aumovio says it is expanding its impact and creating new opportunities for growth across the mobility landscape. Recently, Aumovio says it secured new business with several leading autonomous mobility companies for its ‘high-performance computing solutions, radars and telematics control units’, further expanding its presence in the rapidly growing autonomous mobility space.
These gains come as the automotive industry accelerates its transition to software-defined vehicles and increasingly centralized vehicle architectures, where high-performance computing serves as a critical foundation. Aumovio says it is helping drive this transformation with advanced HPC solutions that connect and integrate functions across all vehicle domains.
Aumovio says its head-up display solutions with vehicle manufacturers in North America now have cumulative lifetime sales in the triple-digit millions.
Building on this momentum, Aumovio says it is advancing a broad portfolio of next-generation UX technologies designed to enhance safety, connectivity and the overall driving experience. This includes innovations in sensing and monitoring solutions, such as under display camera or non-invasive blood alcohol detection technology.
Aumovio’s UX business area will showcase its latest innovations at CES 2027.
Expanding operations
Within its first year of independent operations, Aumovio announced a $110 million expansion of its New Braunfels, Texas facility, the company's first autonomous-mobility greenfield site in the US. The expansion was in response to growing demand for Aumovio’s radar. The 65,000-square-foot addition, including a new automated warehouse, will more than double the plant's production floor space, with completion expected in the first half of 2027. The facility’s expansion will also support the company’s partnership with Aurora.
Additionally, Aumovio completed a renovation of its Harmon Road facility, also located in Auburn Hills, Mich., consolidating its automotive reliability testing operations to better serve customers in the region. The investment enhances the company's advanced validation capabilities and supports the continued development of next-generation mobility solutions, the company says.
"Our first year as Aumovio has been marked by meaningful progress as we continue to strengthen our position in the evolving mobility landscape," Anand said. "These achievements are a testament to the dedication, expertise, and commitment of our employees, who have been instrumental to our success. As we look ahead, we remain focused on delivering technologies that shape the future of mobility while creating long-term value for our customers, partners, and stakeholders."
Aumovio in North America is headquartered in Auburn Hills, Mich. and employs more than 13,000 employees in the region.
