Aston Martin to use what3words in DB12

Now used by 14 OEMs worldwide

Graeme Roberts October 18 2023

Aston Martin is adding what3words location technology to the DB12 as part of a new infotainment system.

The supplier has divided the globe into a grid of 3m x 3m squares, and given each one a unique combination of three words. The system works entirely offline and has also been adopted by Jaguar Land Rover, Lamborghini, Lotus, Lynk & Co, Mahindra, Mercedes-Benz, Mitsubishi, Subaru of America, Tata Motors, Triumph Motorcycles, TVS, VinFast and Volta Trucks.

The app is offered for both iOS and Android devices and is available in 50 languages.
