ZF Commercial Vehicle Solutions (CVS) is supplying various core systems and components used in the Volta Zero electric truck.

These are the Advanced Emergency Braking System (AEBS), Electronic Braking System (EBS) including the brake pedal box, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), and Electro-Pneumatic Handbrake (EPH).

ZF also supplies the OnLaneALERT Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS) and steering components abd independent front suspension (IFS) axle system.

Electronically Controlled Air Suspension (ECAS) aids docking and loading through automatic and manual height adjustments.

ZF’s CV chief Peter Laier said the deal helps Volta Trucks “shorten R&D costs and time to market, by offering turn-key products, as well as related application engineering and testing support.”
