Volkswagen Group sold 995,900 vehicles in November, up 11.1% year on year. YTD volume was up 3.9% to 9,743,400.
YTD sales were up 3.3% to 4m vehicles (+3.3%) in Europe in the first 11 months of the year, and 295,400 (+4.6%) were sold in Western Europe last month. 112,200 new vehicles (+7.3%) were delivered in Germany. Central and eastern Europe sales rose 15% to 69,400.
Group deliveries in North America rose by 2.1% in November and 884,900 vehicles (+4.7%) have been sold since the beginning of the year. The upward trend in the South American market continued – up 35.8% to 47,800 vehicles in November after good performance in Brazil (+41.7%) and Argentina. The group has seen growth of 25.5% in the region since the beginning of the year.
The group sold 4m new vehicles in the Asia-Pacific region from January to November, an increase of 3% compared with the previous year. Deliveries in the region grew 14.8% in November, primarily driven by growth in China (+15.3%), the largest single market. The group sold 3.7m (+3.7%) vehicles by the end of November on the back of strong growth in the second half of the year.
