US refuelling infrastructure firm Voltera has said it had secured 19 new zero-emission vehicle (ZEV) development sites.

This brings the company’s total site portfolio to 21, representing around US$150 million of private investment.

The initial sites are located in California, Arizona, Texas, Georgia, Florida.

Voltera expects that it will double its real estate portfolio in 2024. In 2023, the firm evaluated over 1,200 sites.

Hannah Jacobus, Vice President of Real Estate and Development at Voltera said: “Scaling access to charging and refuelling depots is critical to enable fleet electrification at scale.”

The firm has  backing from infrastructure investor EQT.
