The automaker is launching VW Play for in-car connectivity, streaming and other services.
Developed jointly by VW and Visteon in Brazil, VW Play offers customisable control screens.
The supplier said this was its first use of an integrated platform approach which allows it to achieve scale while controlling cost, quality and innovation.
The 10.1 inch display with 1540×720 screen resolution has a touch panel split screen feature.
VW Play will be launched in a range of models worldwide.
