Hyundai Motor has said that it will assemble a further passenger car model in Venezuela next year.
Hyundai will provide its local assembler in Venezuela – MMC Automotriz SA – with knocked down kits of the Avante XD (Elantra) at the rate of 10,000 units per annum. Venezuelan production is exported to markets across Latin America.
Hyundai has said that it aims to raise its share in the South American market to more than 10 percent this year.
