Vic Doolan, president and CEO of Ford’s Volvo Cars of North America unit, in Irvine, California, reportedly will retire in March.
“It’s been a great run and I’ll miss it,” Doolan told AdAge.com.
Automotive News noted that Doolan is leaving on a high note – under his command, Volvo has grown to be the most profitable and successful sales unit of Ford’s Premier Automotive Group (PAG) while, in the US, the biggest market for the Swedish auto brand, Volvo has been enjoying ongoing consecutive monthly vehicle sales records.
Doolan joined Ford in July 1999 after heading BMW North America for seven years and was named to his current post in June 2002, the report said.
