Members of the United Automobile Workers union have voted overwhelmingly in favour of a plan to realign the auto supplier Visteon, the union told the Associated Press (AP).

UAW members at 15 Visteon plants ratified the plan by an 88.7% majority, the union reportedly said – it represents about 17,400 workers at those operations.

Visteon and its former parent, the Ford Motor Company, announced the restructuring plan last month, AP noted.
