General Motors on Wednesday said it was enhancing its consumer incentives programme to help lure customers into showrooms in October, Reuters reported.
The news agency said the new deals include cash rebates of up to $US4,500 on some models and interest-free loans for up to five years for purchases of most 2003 and 2004 model-year passenger cars.
Reuters noted that GM has led Detroit’s profit-eroding incentive war for the past two years as it sought to bolster demand for new vehicles and offset lacklustre economic growth.
