Saab Cars USA Inc. is moving its headquarters from Norcross, Ga., to General Motors‘ headquarters at the Renaissance Center in Detroit, reports Automotive News.
Saab plans to be established in its new office by the beginning of September. Saab employs about 80 people in its Georgia office. GM won’t know for a week or so how many employees will be moving, the report said.
The move is part of GM’s efforts to combine back-office support for marketing and distribution. Areas such as purchasing, accounting administration, vehicle distribution and legal matters will be handled in Detroit, the newspaper said.
