Speaking at a press conference at the 2004 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, Ghosn reportedly said 2004 will be a very strong year for the US economy and it is certain that Nissan’s sales will reach that figure.
Ghosn reportedly cited increased sales of pickup trucks, including the recently released Titan full-size pickup, as contributing to the sales achievement.
Nissan’s sales in the United States totalled 870,000 units in 2003, Ghosn said, according to the Dow Jones report.
