Ford is to recall 250,283 Windstar minivans built at the Oakville assembly plant between January 1994 and May 1996, the NHTSA’s latest recall bulletin said.
Dealers will check for brake lines installed in a twisted position that can contact a dash panel insulator above the catalytic converter and erode the brake line corrosion protection leading to a leak in the brake line.
Ford is also recalling 25,876 Volvo S80 models built between April 1998 and May 1999 because electric cooling fans could be inadequate in a hot climate. Dealers will replace the engine cooling fan and owner notification began April 1, 2002.
The latest NHTSA recall bulletin also notes that General Motors is recalling 10,168 2002 Chevrolet Malibus to check for a faulty left low-beam headlamp; and 60,044 2002 Chevrolet TrailBlazer, GMC Envoy and Oldsmobile Bravada SUVs built September to November 2001 to check a fuel filter fitting.
