Truck and engine maker Navistar International has appointed Steven Covey senior vice president and general counsel.
He succeeds Robert Boardman, who has retired, and will become a member of the company’s executive council.
Navistar chairman, president and CEO Daniel Ustian said Covey had provided legal counsel and representation to most of the company’s operations and staff groups since he arrived in 1981.
Most recently Covery was deputy general counsel after serving several years as general counsel of Navistar Financial Corporation, the company’s finance subsidiary. He was Navistar corporate secretary from 1990 to 2000.
