Metaldyne has been selected as a pre-production supplier by Toyota to supply several chassis components for a future model programme at Metaldyne’s newly acquired New Castle, Indiana, facility.

The business, which is valued at approximately $US10 million annually, is expected to launch in late 2006.

Metaldyne purchased the New Castle Machining and Forge plant from DaimlerChrysler on December 31, 2003. From January until December 2003, the facility operated as a joint venture between Metaldyne and DaimlerChrysler.
