General Motors has fired the latest round in Detroit’s incentive war with “enhancements” to its low or no-interest finance deals on 2002 and 2003 model year vehicles.

Effective October 10 to October 31, GM is offering what it calls “Zero, Zero, Zero” — no monthly payments for 90 days, no down payment and 0.0% APR financing rates on terms up to 60 months for qualified buyers on the purchase of all new 2002 and most 2003 model Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, GMC, Oldsmobile, Pontiac, and Saturn models.

Saab and Hummer are excluded.

“The goal of the programme remains to bring more consumers to our showrooms,” said GM North America sales chief Bill Lovejoy.
GM begins advertising the new deals nationally on Friday.
