Gencorp division GDX Automotive has been awarded the largest vehicle sealing package for the new Volkswagen Golf A5. GDX will produce all outer waist belts for both three-and five-door Golf models, as well as 100% of the glass run channels for the five-door variant. The award is worth potentially $78 million over the life of the production programme and comes after GDX had previously been awarded development responsibility for the window sealing package.
