USA: Former Mitsubishi CEO to oversee Chinese car distribution
Malcolm Bricklin, who plans to import Chery vehicles from China, has hired former Mitsubishi North America CEO Pierre Gagnon, as president for distribution for his company, Visionary Vehicles LLC, according to Automotive News.
Malcolm Bricklin, who plans to import Chery vehicles from China, has hired former Mitsubishi North America CEO Pierre Gagnon, as president for distribution for his company, Visionary Vehicles LLC, according to Automotive News.
Gagnon reportedly will oversee distribution of Chery Automobile Co.’s vehicles in North America and also will establish Visionary Vehicles distribution headquarters in Southern California.
Automotive News noted that Gagnon resigned under pressure from Mitsubishi in September 2003, after the company suffered huge losses and plunging sales.
